- MSS=MTU-40 is the conventional wisdom, however it is somewhat dependant upon
- the type of connection. A dialup PPP vs a direct connect over an office LAN,
- for example. Trumpet recommends the above settings as you have them for
- SLIP/PPP, but recommends the standard -40 for direct connects.
